AWOL Vision announced that the AWOL LuxVision projectors will begin shipping in November. Available in two distinct models, home theater enthusiasts can choose LuxVision Home Cinema model for dedicated home theaters or the LuxVision Ultra-Short Throw model for more versatile home entertainment use.
LuxVision’s UST model offers optical shift, which adjusts the image vertically across a 142–152% offset range with one touch, without cropping, scaling, or loss of 4K detail. In addition, the MultiView feature offers up to a 200-inch image enabling users to follow four live games at once or show multiple player views when gaming.
Both LuxVision models receive content via four internal HD sources, so no external processor is required. Connectivity includes multiple HDMI and USB ports, as well as wireless streaming via both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
At 6,000 lumens these projectors can handle ambient light. These projectors also cover 110% of the Rec 202 color space and have Dynamic Tone Mapping capabilities. LuxVision features a native 10000:1 Contrast and a 7-level Dynamic IRIS for deeper blacks and richer shadow detail. An EBL algorithm delivers image stability to keep dark-scene enhancement smooth, controlled, and free from distracting flicker.
These models offer Native 4K resolution and have a laser-light source. A refresh rate of 120 Hz and an Auto Low Latency mode offering a 1-millisecond lag time, makes LuxVision a true gaming projector. For movie buffs, Anti-RBE Gen 3 minimizes distracting rainbow artifacts across 2D, 3D, and fast moving, high-contrast scenes. LuxVision projectors support HDR 10, HLG, HDR 10+ and are Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced.
Catering to the high-end home theater user, buyers can choose from three signature styles, or choose custom options for the projector’s material, finish, and tone. Finally, also available is the LuxVision floor-rising ALR Screen and Vanish Cabinet 3.0 which discretely hides the screen and projector when not in use.
