Sales of large-format (32” and up) flat panel displays sold through the U.S. distribution channel grew slightly in May following a substantial drop in April. Hospitality television sales drove much of the growth in May.

Hospitality TV sales jumped 11% month-over-month in May and were responsible for most of the volume and revenue growth last month. Sales were still down year-over-year against a particularly strong 2025, where buying spiked ahead of the looming tariffs in the spring of 2025. Models 65-inches and higher captured nearly 20% of the market share, up 3 points from last year.
In addition, volume and revenues for desktop monitors (32″ and up) grew 14% year-over-year in May. Year-to-date, volume and revenues were almost 10% ahead of January through May 2025 despite the tariff-induced boost in sales last year. Education and corporate buyers account for most of the increase in sales for this product segment.
