Technology from Christie, who has won multiple Academy Awards for technical achievement, will exhibit at CinemaCon next week. Ahead of the show, Christie announced the first-time showing of the new Christie^® CP2406-RBe, with Phaze illumination technology. They will also exhibit their latest advancements in laser projection, including the CP4435-RGB and the new CINITY Cinema System. 

The Christie CineLife+ CP2406-RBe is a DCI-compliant projector with enhanced laser phosphor illumination. The CineLife+2K™ electronics are designed specifically for 2K projectors. Equipped with Phazer™, a new highly efficient laser phosphor light source, the CP2406-RBe provides enhanced image performance for smaller, high-gain screens. The sealed light source offers low-maintenance operation and DCI-brightness for 50,000 hours. The CP2406-RBe offers easy setup via the auto-configure features, the projector’s motorized lens mount, and the integrated electronic color convergence (ECC) function for color alignment.

Also on hand at CinemaCon will be Christie’s CP4425-RGB pure laser projector. With Rea|Laser illumination and CineLife+ ultra-fast processing electronics, the CP4425-RGB touts a premium moviegoing experience for mainstream theaters. Christie’s RGB pure laser projectors with RealLase illumination offer operational efficiency, outputting 50% more lumens per watt than equivalent models thereby reducing exhibitors’ energy costs.  

For premium large-format (PLF) screens, Christie will show the CINITY Cinema System. CINITY is an advanced premium format designed for the PLF sector combining integration of 4K resolution, 3D, high brightness, HFR, HDR, wide color gamut display capabilities, and immersive sound. The goal of CINITY is to improve picture quality with clearer images, brighter colors, immersive sound and smoother motion for an upgraded cinematic experience.
