LG Electronics USA has announced the launch of its LMPB LG MAGNIT Micro LED display, presenting the latest advancement in its large-format LED platform for both upscale residential installations and premium commercial settings. The new LMPB series features enhanced contrast, a 120Hz refresh rate, and simplified installation processes specifically designed for luxury projects.
Available now in the United States, the 2026 MAGNIT offers notable improvements in image quality, installation efficiency, and long-term reliability. The ultra-high-definition screen incorporates deeper black levels, improved grayscale performance, and increased contrast to provide consistent and realistic imagery for various applications. Support for a 120Hz refresh rate ensures smoother motion reproduction suitable for video content and broadcast environments.
A significant update for this iteration is the implementation of LG’s Line-to-Dot technology, which aims to reduce visible pixel inconsistencies across expansive displays, thereby maintaining uniform image quality, particularly important for larger screens and variable viewing distances.
Installation and infrastructural enhancements are central to the new MAGNIT platform. LG has integrated a patented front-access alignment system, allowing installers to adjust depth and uniformity from the front of the display, thus reducing complexity and service time. Additionally, optical fiber connectivity enables signal transmission over extended distances of up to 6.2 miles between LED cabinets and controllers, supporting centralized systems in large-scale and mission-critical settings such as control rooms and broadcast facilities.
Other updates include a standardized cabinet design to streamline large installations and a full black coating between microLEDs to improve perceived contrast and achieve rated black levels of up to 40,000:1.
LG positions the MAGNIT platform for a range of applications, including corporate offices, retail spaces, studios, and luxury residences, reflecting growing demand for large-scale, high-performance displays. The industry is witnessing the video wall market gain traction within custom integration, even as projection systems remain prevalent in home theaters. Video walls are becoming more affordable and are increasingly requested by clients. Competing brands include Samsung, Just Video Walls, Sony, Planar, Barco, Quantum Media Systems, and others.
For integrators, the focus on streamlined alignment, fiber-based infrastructure, and scalable configurations meets ongoing requirements for large-format video wall solutions in both commercial and residential markets. Front-serviceability and standardized cabinets may further reduce labor costs and installation timelines for complex projects.
The LMPB MAGNIT underscores LG’s commitment to advancing Micro LED technology, targeting premium display applications where performance, scalability, and durability remain critical differentiators.
