Panasonic has introduced a new series of LCD professional displays, TH-SF2HU. These large-screen high-brightness displays are available in two screen sizes, 70-inch and 80-inch (TH-70SF2HU and TH-80SF2HU) and are designed to serve as signage in Transport, Retail, Services and Exhibition areas. With a brightness rating of 700 nits, these displays are optimal for viewing in environments with a high level of ambient light. The TH-SF2HU series displays are built for dependable 24/7 operation and have the flexibility to be installed in various orientations: landscape, portrait or tilted at a 20 degree angle forward or back. These models have Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 5000:1 contrast ratio.
The series is designed for easy operation right after installation. These models can automatically start showing pictures when a USB memory stick containing data is inserted. They can be used as digital signage without a set-top box or PC. The included Content Management Software enables easy playlist creation and scheduling.
The TH-SF2HU displays are also equipped with DIGITAL LINK, a connection system based on HDBaseT™ technology that supports the transmission of video, audio and control signals over a single LAN cable of a distance up to 150m. The series is also compatible with LinkRay™, Panasonic’s high-speed backlight control technology that allows the user to match a wide variety of information to the content. For peace of mind, the units also have failover and failback safeguard functions.
According to PMA Research, a market trend analyst firm covering the large-format display industry, Panasonic consistently ranked within the top three brands for professional 70”-89”, high-bright, Full HD LCD displays over the past quarter based on sales through distribution.
