The Philips Screeneo U4, is a new ultra-short throw DLP projector with AI-powered features that make it easy to set up anywhere in your home. Philips designed their latest Screenio projector with home entertainment and home office use in mind. With a throw ratio of just 0.25:1, the U4 can produce and image ranging from 15-inches to 80-inches, and the largest image size will be produced when placing the projector just 12-inces from the screen.
The Screenio’s size makes the projector extremely portable. With dimensions of 5 x 3 x 9 inches, and weighing in at just 3 pounds, it is easy to move and set up in different scenarios such as a home office or the living room. It offers a wide range of connectivity with a USB-A connection and two HDMI connections, allowing for streaming from gaming consoles, streaming services and sattelite TV. Audio features include a headphone jack and dual, simultaneous Bluetooth 5 connections. There are also two 15-watt speakers onboard. With a native1080p resolution, and 400 lumens of brightness, the Screenio U4 is 4K capable at 60Hz and supports HDR10. It features an LED RGB light source with a lifespan of 30,000 hours. The Screenio U4 has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio.
The AI features are designed to aid in color tuning and image alignment. Philips states that the AI in this Smart projector will automatically adjust color to achieve 108% Rec.709 HDTV color space. Engineered with AMlogic T972 CPU pictures, the HDR10 colors will be life-like and text will remain sharp. Auto keystone, auto focus, and 4 corner correction are also handled by the projector for an optimal image.
