ViewSonic has introduced its latest Smart 1080p Portable LED Projector – the M2e . This new addition to the company’s M series of smart portable LED projectors uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) technology to achieve virtually instant auto focus. ViewSonic touts ToF technology as achieving image focus 3–5 times faster compared to traditional focus methods. The 1,000 lumen M2e comes with both horizontal and vertical keystone correction and four-corner adjustment for a perfect on-the-go image.
The M2e is designed specifically for home entertainment and small business use. It is extremely portable, effortless to set up, and is easy to connect. Users can cast or screen mirror content from their smartphones to the big screen via Wi-Fi, or set up direct single-cable streaming via USB Type-C. Audio is available via Bluetooth.
The M2e is designed to bring consumers an immersive audiovisual experience. It offers Full HD resolution and ViewSonic Cinema SuperColor+ technology to achieve 125% of the Rec.709 color space. The short throw capabilities allow for an 80-inch screen from just 2.1 meters. The fan-less operation and ViewSonic’s exclusive thermal design, make for a very quiet projector. The M2e has built-in audio with dual 3W speakers customized by Harman Kardon. Additionally, the M2e is designed to deliver a visual experience free of blue light in order to reduce eyestrain over prolonged viewing periods and has a TUV certified remote coated in silver ions to resist bacteria.
The M2e is currently shipping with an MSRP of $628.
