Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the High-End projector segment, the January results showed that Optoma’s EH501 was the best-selling model for the month. Epson followed with the second and third best-selling models, the PowerLite 1940W and the PowerLite 1980WU, respectively. ASK Proxima took the fourth spot with the C520, and NEC rounded out this “Top 5” list with the NP-P451W.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, InFocus took top honors with the IN112a coming in first place. NEC followed with the second place NP-M322X. Epson followed with a pair of top sellers, the PowerLite X17 and PowerLite 97 filling the third and fourth spots, respectively. Sony rounded out this January “Top 5” list with the VPL-HW40ES/B coming in fifth.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. In the Pico and Personal projector segment, AAXA had a trio of projectors make the January list with the with the LED Pico, the P300 Pico and the P4-X coming in first, third and fifth, respectively. The Asus S1 was the second best-selling projector, and Optoma rounded out this “Top 5” list with the ML750 in the fourth spot.
