Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the December results showed Sony’s VPL-FHZ55/W as the months’ best-selling model. Optoma had a pair make the December list with the EH501 coming in second place and the X402 coming in fourth. NEC placed third with the NP-P401W, and Epson rounded out this “Top 5” list with the PowerLite 1980WU in fifth.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, InFocus took top honors with a pair of best-sellers. The IN112x and the IN114x came in first and second, respectively. Epson rounded out this “Top 5” list with a trio of projectors – the PowerLite 520, the PowerLite 97H and the PowerLite X27 – coming in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. AAXA had two best-selling models in the Pico and Personal projector segment in December with the LED Pico taking top honors and the P300 Pico coming in third. Asus followed in second place with the S1. LG rounded out this December “Top 5” list with the PV150G and the PF1500 filling the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
