Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the August results showed Epson with a pair of best-selling models. The PowerLite Pro G6770WU took top honors, and the PowerLite 1985WU came in fourth. Sony also had a pair of projectors on this August list, with the VPL-FHZ55/W and the VPL-FHZ65/W coming in second and fifth, respectively. Optoma’s EH501 rounded out the August list by placing third.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, InFocus took top honors with a pair of projectors — the IN114a and the IN112a — filling the first two best-selling spots. Epson rounded out this “August “Top 5” list with a trio of projectors. The PowerLite X27, the BrightLink 585Wi, and the PowerLite 98H came in third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. The best-selling model in the Pico and Personal projector segment in August was the Asus S1. AAXA followed with a trio of projectors, with the LED Pico, the P300 Pico and the P4-X coming in second, third and fourth, respectively. LG rounded out this August “Top 5” list with their PF1500 coming in fifth for the second month in a row.
