Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. The Asus S1 was the best-selling model in the Pico and Personal projector segment in April. AAXA followed with a trio of projectors – the AAXA LED Pico, the P300 Pico and the P3X coming in second, third and fourth, respectively. Optoma rounded out this “Top 5” list for April with the ML750.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, InFocus took top honors with the IN112a in the number one spot, and also had their IN114a in the fourth position. Epson followed with the PowerLite 97 in second and the PowerLite 98H taking the fifth spot. NEC rounded out this Top 5 list with the NP-M282X coming in third in April.
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the April results showed Hitachi with a pair of models in the “Top 5”. Their CP-X4030WN took top honors and their CP-WX4022WN came in third. Sony’s VPL-FHZ55/W filled the number two spot and Epson’s PowerLite 1980WU came in fourth in April. Optoma rounded out this “Top 5” list with the EH501.
