Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following product categories:
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. For High-End projectors, NEC took top honors in April with the best-selling NP-PA600X. Hitachi followed with a pair of projectors – the CP-WX4022WN and the CP-X4015WN coming in second and third, respectively. Optoma’s EH500 took the fourth spot for high-end projectors, and Vivitek’s D963HD rounded out this “Top 5” list.
Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. For Home Entertainment projectors, the April results showed BenQ with the number one selling model, the BenQ W1070, for the fourth month in a row. BenQ also filled the number four spot with the W1080ST. Epson filled the number two spot with the PowerLite Home Cinema 500 Silver. Optoma had a pair of projectors make the top home entertainment projector list with the HD131XE and HD25e filling the number three and five spot, respectively.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American distributors. For the Mainstream segment, NEC took top honors with the best-selling NP-VE281X. Epson followed with a pair of projectors, the PowerLite 97 and the PowerLite X17, in the number two and number three spots, respectively. InFocus rounded out this “Top 5” list with the IN114 coming in fourth and the IN112a in the fifth spot.
