Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
4K UHD Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. retailers, web resellers, and custom installers. For 4K UHD home entertainment projector sales, Optoma took top honors with the UHD50 in first place and the UHD60 following in second. BenQ also had a pair of projectors on this “Top 5” list. Their HT3550 and TK800M came in third and fourth, respectively. ViewSonic completed this 4K UHD Home Entertainment projector list with the PX747-4K in the fifth spot.
Interactive Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of Pro AV dealers and systems integrators. In the Interactive projector segment, Epson’s BrightLink 685Wi took the top spot, and their BrightLink 695Wi, BrightLink 697Ui, and BrightLink Pro 1485Fi came in second, fourth and fifth, respectively. Maxell rounded out this “Top 5” list with their MC-TW3506 coming in third.
Laser Projectors with 5000 and Higher Lumens – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of IT, Pro AV, and CEDIA distributors. Among these +5000-lumens, laser-phosphor projectors, Sony grabbed the number one spot with the VPL-PHZ10. Panasonic had two of the top-selling units in November, with the PT-RZ570 coming in second and the PT-VMZ50 coming in fifth. NEC also had a pair of projectors make November’s list, with the NP-P525UL and NP-P525WL coming in third and fourth, respectively.
