Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. The best-selling model in the Pico and Personal projector segment in July was AAXA’s LED Pico. Asus followed with the S1 in second place. AAXA had additional models make this list with the P300 Pico and P4-X coming in third and fourth, respectively. LG made its first appearance on the “Top 5” list as their PF1500 placed fifth.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Epson took top honors with a pair of interactive projectors – the BrightLink 585Wi and the BrightLink 595Wi. Epson also filled the next two spots on the Mainstream list with the PowerLite 98H and the PowerLite 99WH coming in third and fourth, respectively. NEC rounded out this July “Top 5” list with the NP-M322X.
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the July results showed Epson with the two best-selling models – the PowerLite1985WU and the PowerLite1940W, which came in first and second, respectively. Sony followed with the VPL-FHZ55/W in the third spot. Optoma’s EH501 was the fourth best-selling model in July, and Hitachi rounded out this “Top 5” list with the CP-X5022WN.
