Each month, PMA Research posts their “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Epson had a trio of models make the list with the BrightLink 695Wi, PowerLite X27 and PowerLite 98H coming in first, fourth and fifth, respectively. InFocus landed the number two spot in May with their IN2124x. ViewSonic rounded out this month’s list with the PJD5155 coming in as the third best-selling Mainstream projector.
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. audio-visual dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector category, the May results showed Hitachi with the best-selling model – the CP-WU5505. Hitachi also claimed the fourth spot with the CP-X5022WN. Epson had a pair of projectors make the May list with the BrightLink 697Ui and the PowerLite 2250U coming in second and fifth, respectively. Panasonic rounded out this “Top 5” list with the PT-RZ570W in third place.
Home Entertainment Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of U.S. retailers and web resellers. In the Home Entertainment projector category, Optoma had three top-selling models in the “Top 5” with the HD142X, GT1080 and HD27 coming in first, third and fifth, respectively. BenQ’s HT2050 took the second spot, and ViewSonic rounded out the May “Top 5” list with the PJD7828HDL coming in fourth.
