Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. For the second month in a row, Asus’ S1 was the best-selling model in the Pico and Personal projector segment. AAXA followed with two projectors as the AAXA LED Pico and the P300 Pico came in second and third, respectively. Optoma followed with their ML550 in fourth, and AAXA rounded out this Top 5 list with the P4-X in May.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Sony took top honors with the VPL-HW40ES/B in the number one spot. Epson followed with the BrightLink 595Wi in second and the PowerLite 97H in the fourth spot. NEC came in third with the NP-M282X, and InFocus rounded out this Top 5 list with the IN114a coming in fifth.
4,000+ Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the May results showed Epson nearly sweeping this category with four of the top five best-selling models. Epson’s PowerLite 1980WU, PowerLite 1985WU, PowerLite Pro G6470WU and PowerLite 1940W took the number one, three, four and five spots, respectively. Hitachi rounded out this Top 5 list with the CP-WX4022WN coming in second.
