Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. In the Pico and Personal projector segment, Optoma had two of the “Top 5” models in December with the ML750 and the ML550 coming in first and fifth, respectively. The Asus S1 took the second spot, and AAXA rounded out this “Top 5” list with the P4-X and P300 Pico coming in as the third and fourth best-sellers.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, Epson took top honors with the PowerLite 97 coming in first. The IN112a from InFocus came in second, and the PJD5132 from ViewSonic came in third. Boxlight and Sony rounded out this “Top 5” list with the Boxlight ECO X27NST and the Sony VPL-HW40ES/B filling the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the High-End projector segment, the December results showed Epson with two of the best-selling models, the PowerLite 1985WU and the PowerLite Pro G6450WU coming in first and fourth, respectively. Sony followed in second with the VPL-FHZ555W. Optoma’s EH501 was the third best-seller in December, and Hitachi rounded out this “Top 5” list with the CP-X5022WN.
