Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following product categories:
High-End Projectors – For High-End projectors, Epson took top honors with the best selling PowerLite 1945W. Panasonics’ PT-DZ570 came in second and Mitsubishi came in third with the XD700. Hitachi rounded out the Top 5 with two projectors, the CP-WX4022WN and the CP-X4015WN filling the fourth and fifth spots, respectively. This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators.
Mainstream Projectors – For the Mainstream category, InFocus filled the top two spots in August with the best-selling IN112, followed by the IN114 in second place. Epson also had a pair of projectors make the list with the PowerLite 93+ coming in third, and the PowerLite X12 filling the fifth spot. Hitachi rounded out the Mainstream list with the CP-X2521WN taking the fourth spot. This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American distributors.
Pico and Personal Projectors – For Pico and Personal projectors, the August results showed 3M took top honors with their newest pico projector, the MP410. Optoma had a pair of projectors make the August list with the PK-320 and the ML300 coming in second and fourth, respectively. Vivitek’s Qumi Q2 came in third, and AAXA rounded out this “Top 5” list with the P2 Jr. in the fifth spot. This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers.
