Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following product categories:
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American distributors. For the Mainstream segment, InFocus took top honors with the best-selling IN112 in December. InFocus had two more top-sellers with the IN114 in the number two spot and the IN116 in the fourth spot. Epson’s PowerLite X17 was the third best-selling projector, and ViewSonic rounded out this “Top 5” list with the PJD5134.
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. For High-End projectors, NEC took top honors with the NP-PA550W-13ZL coming in first. Epson had a pair make the December the High-End list with the PowerLite Pro G6450WU and the PowerLite 1945W coming in second and third, respectively. Vivitek took the fourth spot with the D963HD and Hitachi rounded out this “Top 5” list with the CP-WX4022WN.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. For Pico and Personal projectors, the December results showed Optoma took top honors with the PK-320 for the third month in a row. AAXA followed with a pair of best-sellers in the number two and three spots – the P2 Jr. and the P3 Pico, respectively. ViewSonic filled the fourth spot with the PLED-W500, and 3M rounded out the “Top 5” Pico and Personal list with their MP410.
