Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following product categories:
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. For Pico and Personal projectors, the October results showed Optoma took top honors with the PK-320. 3M landed the number two spot with the MP410. AAXA had multiple units make the October list with the P2 Jr. and the P3 Pico coming in third and fourth, respectively. Vivitek rounded out the “Top 5” for this category with the Qumi Q2.
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American distributors. For the Mainstream category, InFocus took top honors again with the best-selling IN112. The InFocus IN114 also made the list in the number five spot. Epson also had a pair of projectors make the October list with the PowerLite 93+ coming in second and the PowerLite 95 coming in fourth. NEC rounded out the “Top 5” with the NP-VE281X in the third spot.
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service sample, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. For High-End projectors, Epson filled three of the “Top 5” spots with the PowerLite Pro G6450WU, the PowerLite 1945W and the PowerLite 1940W in the number one, two and four spots, respectively. Panasonic filled the remaining two spots with the PT-DW640S coming in third and the PT-DZ570 coming in fifth.
