Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following categories:
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American AV and IT distributors. Among Mainstream projectors, InFocus took top honors with the IN124a coming in first place, followed by their IN112a in the second spot. Epson followed with a pair of top sellers, the PowerLite X17 and PowerLite 97 filling the third and fourth spots, respectively. NEC rounded out this February “Top 5” list with the NP-M322W coming in fifth.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. In the Pico and Personal projector segment, AAXA had a trio of projectors make the February list with the with the LED Pico, the P300 Pico and the P4-X coming in first, fourth and fifth, respectively. The Optoma ML550 was the second best-selling projector, and Asus rounded out this “Top 5” list with the S1 in the third spot.
4,000 + Lumen Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. In the 4,000+ Lumen projector segment, the February results showed that Optoma’s EH501 was the best-selling model for the second month in a row. Epson followed with the second and third best-selling models, the PowerLite Pro G6750WU and the PowerLite 1940W, respectively. Sony took the fourth spot with the VPL-FHZ55/W, and Hitachi rounded out this “Top 5” list with the CP-X4030WN.
