Each month, PMA Research posts the “Top 5” Projector Lists for the following product categories:
Mainstream Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Distributor Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American distributors. For the Mainstream segment, Epson took three of the “Top 5” spots with the PowerLite 97 coming in first and the PowerLite 98 and PowerLite 99W coming in fourth and fifth, respectively. InFocus took second place with the IN112a, and Viewsonic rounded out this “Top 5” list with the PJD7820HD filling the third spot.
High-End Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Pro AV Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American dealers and integrators. For High-End projectors, Epson swept the first three spots in August with the best-selling PowerLite 1945W coming in first, followed by the PowerLite 1940W and the PowerLite Pro G6450WU coming in second and third, respectively. Optoma took the fourth spot with the EH501, and Sony rounded out this “Top 5” list with the VPL-FHZ55/W coming in fifth.
Pico and Personal Projectors – This “Top 5″ list is compiled from data collected from PMA’s monthly Retail Projector Tracking Service panel, which is made up of North American retailers and web resellers. For Pico and Personal projectors, the August results showed AAXA with three of the Top 5 best-selling models. The AAXA P4-X, the P300 Pico, and the P2 Jr. came in first, third and fourth, respectively. Optoma moved up one spot from last month with the ML750 coming in second, and Asus rounded out this “Top 5” list with their S1 projector.
