The new projectors in Wolf Cinema’s TXF “Theater Extreme 4K” series—models TXF-900, TXF-1400, TXF-2000 and TXF-5000 are designed to be compatible with current and future standard definitions for HD and 4K video sources. The new series also accommodate 2D/3D sources and include three traditional lamp-based editions, plus an next generation, high-output Blu-escent laser/phosphor flagship projector.
Every edition in the TXF series incorporates full 18Gbps Ultra HD HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 compatibility—with up to 4K60 4:4:4 sources and offer up to 3200 ANSI lumens and full HDR10 imaging compatibility. The TXF series also offers multiple VariScope aspect ratio memories and custom factory gamut and gamma calibrations. The projectors are housed in an all-metal chassis for improved thermal coefficients.
The flagship model in the TXF series is a second-generation Blu-escent laser/phosphor projector – the TXF-5000. It Incorporates a new, 0.69 inch three-chip native 4K [4096 x 2160] D-ILA technology core, and a 20,000-hour life Blu-escent laser diode/phosphor light source. In addition, the TXF-5000 boasts 3200 ANSI lumens of peak white performance, and an extremely high dynamic contrast ratio . The all-glass, 18-element precision primary optics package facilitates ample lens shift for installation flexibility – ±100% vertical, ±43% horizontal. The TXF-5000 also incorporates the latest Ultra HD/4K] imaging technologies such as HDR10, Hybrid Log-Gamma for live HDR broadcasts, and achieves the BT.709 and Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) color gamut and over 80% of the ultra-wide BT.2020 color space.

Analyst firm PMA Research follows the worldwide projector market. Recent findings show that, when comparing 3Q2016 versus 3Q2015, that sales of consumer projectors, widescreen projectors and projectors with Solid-State light sources saw positive growth.
