This week Vivitek introduced two new laser projectors – the DK10000Z and the DU8195Z. Designed to handle 24/7 operation and 360° installations, the DK10000Z and the DU8195Z offer a laser light source ideally suited to large venue applications where installation flexibility and simplicity are needed.
The DK10000Z offers 4K-UHD resolution and 10,000 ANSI lumens brightness. In addition, the DK10000Z offers a small footprint compared to other models in the large-venue category, and weighs just 29kg. It utilizes Texas Instruments’ single chip 4K-UHD XPR technology to deliver 8.3 million pixels on the screen. The DU8195Z offers WUXGA resolution and 13,500 ANSI lumens brightness. Both new models utilize a 20,000 hour laser light source to ensure a constant brightness level and color performance. These new projectors are virtually maintenance-free. They feature fully-sealed optical engines with a level equivalent to IP60 Ingress Protection. This ensures the engines are air tight and dust free, which improves light efficiency. In addition, the DK10000Z and the DU8195Z employ parent company Delta’s advance thermal management technology to deliver precise temperature and thermal load control, using liquid cooling to optimize the total performance.
Vivitek has also included many comprehensive features to help with installation flexibility and simplicity– including 8 lens choices, ranging from 0.38 to 8.26:1 throw ratio, motorized zoom, lens shift and lens position memory capacity. These new models also offer 3G-SDI for streaming live signals, HDBaseT and 360° free tilting angle. Finally, projection image alignment is built-in, along with multi-screen edge-blending, warping and keystone correction features.
The DU8195Z is £16,390 excluding VAT and is currently shipping. The DK10000Z is £19,000 excluding VAT and is also available now.
Leading display industry analyst firm PMA Research just released their latest Projector Distributor Tracking Report which showed that year-over-year unit sales and revenues of +5000 lumen large-venue models remained comfortably ahead of last September.
