ViewSonic has introduced its brand new PJD8 projector series offering a wide range of features including dual pen interactivity and advanced connectivity functionality. New projector models include the PJD8353s, PJD8653ws, PJD8333s and PJD8633ws.
Equipped with a Crestron® LAN controller, the PJD8 series can be managed and controlled remotely and AMX® Device Discovery™ certification allows for easy integration. This series is available in two different solutions — the 53 line for enhanced interactivity and the 33 line for advanced connectivity.
All PJD8 series projectors come with BrilliantColor™ technology and offer 2600-3000 ANSI lumens of brightness. The PJD8 series includes HDMI connectivity, integrated 16w speakers, LAN control, dual pen interactivity, a mobile app for smart phone and tablet functionality and PC-less presentations.
The PJD8653ws and PJD8353s will be available in mid-March for ESPs of $1,199 and $1,079, while the optional PJ-PEN-003 interactive package for these projectors has an ESP of $299. The PJD8633ws and PJD8333s will be available in mid-April for ESPs of $1,099 and $999.
The most recent projector forecast from PMA Research expects ultra-short-throw models to be one product segment which will show positive growth in 2013, so these reasonably-priced, full-featured models from ViewSonic should do well in the market.
