ViewSonic has announced new additions to its line of projectors geared towards the education and and small to medium-sized business segments. The PG7 and PG6 series of projectors offer high brightness, enhanced color and sound technologies, as well as energy-saving power consumption features to extend the life of the projector.
The ViewSonic PG705HD and PG705WU deliver 4,000 lumens of brightness and feature an intuitive user interface. Energy-saving SuperEco™ feature reduces power consumption and extends the lamp life by to up to 15,000 hours. Housed in a sleek white chassis, these projectors come with exclusive SuperColor™ technology to offer a wide color gamut for image reproduction in just about any environment. Both series are certified by Extron, Crestron® and AMX® and come with a LAN controller, so the PG705HD and PG705WU projectors are easily controlled and managed by IT administrators. For installation flexibility, both projectors provide a shorter throw ratio, 1.2x optical zoom, vertical keystone, and extensive connectivity. The PG705HD has a native Full HD (1920×1080) resolution, making it perfect for both HD presentations and multimedia sharing. The PG705WU features a native WUXGA resolution (1920×1200) for a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it useful for larger screen applications.
The new PG603X and PG603W from ViewSonic are networkable projectors that feature 3,600 lumens of brightness with a user-friendly design. Engineered with exclusive SuperColor™ and SonicMode™ technologies, these projectors offer a wide color gamut and sound enhancement that powers a built-in 10W speaker. The PG603X and PG603W come with an energy-saving SuperEco™ feature that reduces power consumption and extends the lamp life by up to 15,000 hours. The PG6 series projectors also offer an integrated USB A reader port that can read image and MS Office applications, and optional WiFi (via the separate available PJ-WPD-200 wireless dongle), to allow these projectors deliver streaming and wireless presentation options through the ViewSonic vPresenter™ app. For network control, the PG603X and PG603W are equipped with LAN control, for remote management and control capabilities. The ViewSonic PG603X has a native XGA (1024×768) resolution, while the PG603W has a native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution.
The PG7 and PG6 series projectors will be available later this month. The PG705HD will have an MSRP of $1,059 and the PG705WU will have an MSRP of $1,599. The PG603X and PG603W will have MSRP’s of $679 and $829, respectively.
Analyst firm PMA Research follows the Projector market and provides industry data and forecast information on projectors. Recent findings show that high-brightness, high-lumen projectors with features such as remote management and wireless streaming are in demand.
