ViewSonic announced two additions to its Luminous Superior Series (LS Series) of lamp-free projectors: the LSD400HD and the LSD401HD. Both models deliver 4,000 ANSI lumens of brightness at Full HD (1080p) resolution while consuming up to 59% less power than comparable lamp-based units, according to the company. Engineered for large-scale installations, the projectors are aimed at professional AV environments that demand long-term reliability and energy efficiency.
The new projectors join the company’s existing LS Series lineup, including the LSD400W and short-throw LSD400HD-ST models. Each uses ViewSonic’s 3rd generation laser phosphor technology with a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours, reducing maintenance costs and eliminating mercury-based lamps. The new LS models offer a high contrast and an advanced 0.65″ DMD chip from Texas Instruments. Both units are capable of projecting images up to 300 inches, with the LSD400HD offering a 1.1x optical zoom and the LSD401HD supporting a 1.3x zoom.
Designed with system integrators in mind, the LSD401HD is certified for Crestron and Q-SYS control and compatible with AMX, PJ Link, ATEN, and Extron systems. This ensures seamless LAN control integration and centralized device management across enterprise networks. Additional features such as 360-degree projection, horizontal and vertical keystone correction, and four-corner adjustment simplify setup and alignment in complex spaces.
ViewSonic also highlighted the growing role of its LS Series projectors in creative and simulation environments. A dedicated Golf Mode enhances color and brightness for realistic rendering in indoor golf simulators, while the projectors’ high brightness and flexible mounting options enable immersive, screenless visual experiences in retail, entertainment and hospitality venues.
The LSD400HD and LSD401HD are available globally through authorized ViewSonic resellers.
