Sharp/NEC recently announced the NEC PX2201UL-48ZL, a powerful 24/7 use installation projector with an RB laser light source and 20,000 lumens. Touting more consistent brightness, improved color fidelity, and roll free capabilities this projector is geared for installation in a variety of vertical markets, such as higher education, corporate, retail, simulation, and theme park installations. In addition, the NEC PX2201UL-48ZL come standard with a zoom lens, as well as vertical/horizontal lens shift, and is landscape/portrait capable for even more installation flexibility.
A host of features are incorporated for the best image possible. Advanced AccuBlend™ ensures detailed images when non-native resolution sources are connected to the projector. Presets for built-in wall color correction provide for adaptive color tone correction to display properly on non-white surfaces. The PX2201UL-48ZL also employs Geometric Correction, which allows for projection on spheres, cylinders, corner angles and more. This projector has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and utilizes the latest Texas Instruments DLP engine featuring BrilliantColor™ technology with improved color accuracy. Additionally, this projector has VORTEX Technology Plus, which Improves white level, color accuracy, dynamic range and varying levels of black of projected images. Finally, users can achieve edge-blending by using multiple projectors together to create larger, more intricate images.
The PX2201UL-48ZL has dual HDMI inputs (with HDCP) to ensure quick switching between presentations and allows for simultaneous digital connections of high-definition sources, such as Blu-ray players, cable boxes, satellite receivers and computers. Picture-In-Picture allows two sources to be displayed on the screen at one time in either a picture-in-picture or side-by-side configuration. It also has dual computer inputs to ensure quick switching between sources. It also comes with Crestron RoomView onboard to provide unified management, including the ability to switch the power on and off for multiple projectors connected to a network.
