Sharp NEC Display Solutions recently launched the PE456USL installation projector. The new projector’s short-throw lens and compact design make it well suited for small spaces in corporate offices, higher education, museums and golf simulators.
The PE456USL projector offers 4,500-lumens of brightness, WUXGA resolution and LCD technology. The model’s 20,000-hour laser life offers a low total cost of ownership. This new entry-level installation projector also comes with 16W speakers and is 4K ready, giving it the ability show 4K content using NEC’s proprietary high performance video processing/scaling chip.
Integrated RJ45 connection allows for quick connection to the LAN (10/100 base-T capability). Dual HDMI inputs (with HDCP) ensure quick switching between presentations and allows for simultaneous digital connections of high-definition sources, such as Blu-ray players, cable boxes, satellite receivers and computers. The optional wireless LAN allows users to connect to the projector without use of cables. The USB Viewer Permits playback (without a PC) of presentations or display images stored as JPG files from a USB flash drive.
Tilt-free installation means projector can be rotated 360° in order to point up or down depending on the installation requirements. Finally, Crestron Room-View Provides unified management, including the ability to switch the power on and off for multiple projectors connected to a network.
As with all of Sharp/NEC’s laser projectors, the PE456USL is backed by a 5-year warranty which includes Instacare, Sharp/NEC’s replacement program. Also included is NaViset Administrator 2 software, designed to provide remote management and network-based control. The PE-456UsL is currently shipping with an MSRP of $2,579.00.
