Ricoh’s new Desk Edge DLP projectors (PJ X3340/ PJ WX3340/ PJ X3340N/PJ WX3340N) have been designed with all connections located on the front of the unit for easy accessibility. They can also be ceiling or wall mounted. Ultra-high definition lens technology enables shorter-throw projection, so users can project larger screen sizes in smaller rooms. Ricoh’s Desk Edge models also have a unique front-facing exhaust fan.
The Desk Edge Series operate quietly with a noise level below 38db and have an Eco mode to specify power settings and lamp brightness to extend the life of the lamp. In addition, these projectors support PJLink and Ricoh @Remote service, so administrators can remotely power the unit on or off, configure settings and generate status and error reporting. The Wall Color Mode feature automatically adjusts the colors to optimize image quality when presenting on color surfaces or chalkboards.
In addition, the X3340N and WX3340N models offer Networking capability for wireless connectivity, are 3000 lumens with a contrast ratio of 5000:1. Input and output connections include RGB, Video, Audio, USB and HDMI. They are also 3D-ready.
Recent end-user survey’s by PMA Research show that projector users, especially those in schools, find a projector green / energy saving features to be very important. So the Eco features, coupled with the unique design of the Desk-Edge models should appeal to end-users.
