The UK’s Annual AV Awards dinner was held last Friday evening, September 30th, at the London Hilton, Park Lane. The awards were judged by a panel of AV industry veterans, including PMA’s own Nick Rogers, who heads up our EMEA research efforts in London. The event was well attended by AV industry executives from across Europe.

Out of 20+ categories, projectors were featured heavily — with many of PMA’s clients receiving awards. Projectiondesign won the coveted “Projection or Display Product of the Year” for their F35 WQXGA projector; runners up were LG Electronics for the CF3D cinema 3D projector, Hitachi’s interactive iPJ-AW250NM projector and Vivitek’s QUMI pico projector. Projectiondesign also picked up the “Manufacturer of the Year” award. The “Projection or Display Manufacturer of the Year” went to NEC Display Solutions. The “Green or Environmental Award” was won by Panasonic with their “Offset for Life” project.

Greatest local interest was “Distributor of the Year” with fierce competition among the UK distributors and the award was won this year by Midwich – Europe’s largest AV distributor. Pacific Media Associates extends our congratulations to all the winners!
