The PT-RQ45K Large Venue Projector from Panasonic was designed to address the growing complexity of rental and staging workflows and the increased need for flexible yet powerful solutions. Featuring the world’s most compact design and 40,000-lumen 3-Chip DLP™ technology, the PT-RQ45K is built for immersive entertainment experiences such as museums and amusement parks.
Delivering 40,000 lumens from a body size equivalent to the previous RQ35K2/RQ35K Series, the RQ45K Series streamlines transport, installation, and setup logistics. Compatibility with existing frames, flight cases, and optional lenses makes upgrading economical. A new 5-inch color LCD monitor simplifies pre-show video checks and real-time status monitoring, while an Intel® SDM standard-compatible expansion slot2 and 12G-SDI input3 ensure seamless system integration.
For lasting reliability in demanding environments, key circuit boards feature a UV coating to inhibit corrosion from fumes and salt, while a new modular board layout dramatically improves maintenance efficiency. Proprietary Dynamic Digital Control and a dedicated cooling system stabilize red laser performance under temperature fluctuations to maintain consistent color output. Multi-Laser Drive Engine and Backup Input help prevent show interruptions even in the event of equipment failure.
The RQ45K Series’ 3-Chip DLP™ architecture, Quad Pixel Drive4 and multi-laser light source (two blue, one red) deliver accurate color with smooth, detailed 4K (3840 x 2400) resolution. Support for frame rates up to 240 Hz/1080p enables fluid motion reproduction and compatibility with the optional Real-Time Tracking Projection Mapping system. Gradation Smoother removes color banding on the fly, while enhanced Black Level Correction ensures seamless blending on flat or curved screens.
The PT-RQ45K offers a myriad of connectivity options with multiple HDMI, BNC, RJ45 and Stereo connections. The new projector is also Crestron, AMX and PJLink compatible.
Finally, the series will include a sibling projector offering the same features – the PT-RZ44K which is WUXGA resolution. These products will start shipping in 2026.
