ViewSonic has introduced its LightStream™ projector series suitable for data projection or home entertainment. The LightStream Full HD 1080p series of projectors include the PJD7825HD (black chassis), PJD7830HDL (white chassis), and PJD7835HD (black chassis), with a brightness range from 3000 lumens to 3500 lumens.
The new models utilize ViewSonic’s SuperColor™ technology which employs a newly designed color wheel and the company’s new propriety SonicExpert™ enhanced sound technology.
Additional features include PortAll™, an integrated compartment supporting a MHL/HDMI port, which allows users to wirelessly stream multimedia content via an optional wireless HDMI dongle such as ViewSonic’s WPG-300 dongle for wireless streaming from mobile devices, notebooks or PCs. Other features include vertical/horizontal keystone, corner adjustment, and 1.36 optical zoom and a cable management system.
These new LightStream projectors include two HDMI ports and can display 3D images directly from 3D Blu-ray players. Other inputs include RGB, Composite Video, Mini USB, USB, and Audio In/Out.
ViewSonic will offer a 3-year limited parts and labor warranty, along with a 1-year lamp, and first year free Express Exchange® service.
The LightStream Full HD 1080p series of projectors will be available in August and include the PJD7825HD (black chassis) with a MSRP of $943.00, PJD7830HDL (white chassis) with a MSRP of $1,058.00, and PJD7835HD (black chassis) with a MSRP of $1,174.00.
Recent findings from PMA Research show that 1080p volume sales are significantly ahead of last year’s pace. Both Business and Home Theater users are embracing reasonably-priced, higher lumen models such as the ViewSonic LightStream projectors.
