Optoma recently introduced the Optoma UHZ55, a smart UHD laser projector designed for home entertainment and home office use. With 3,000 lumens, a 2,500,000:1 contrast ratio, easy installation features, and Optoma’s DuraCore laser light source, the new “cross-over” UHZ55 boasts sharp images and lights-on viewing for a variety of home entertainment, gaming, and work-from-home needs.
The UHZ55 has a refresh rate of 240Hz at 1080p for a smooth PC gaming experience on par with the fastest gaming monitors, and a quick 16.9ms response time in 4K at 60Hz for immersive 4K console gaming. Designed with Texas Instruments’ DLP® technology and Optoma’s DuraCore laser technology, the UHZ55 projector’s laser light source allows for up to 30,000 hours of maintenance-free use.
In addition, the UHZ55 features HDR10 and HLG support, brilliant color with DCI-P3 WCG, and PureMotion MEMC technology to eliminate motion blurring – all backed by true 4K UHD resolution. The UHZ55 can also display immersive 3D content, including Blu-ray Disc players, broadcasts, and the latest-generation game consoles.
Optoma’s UHZ55 is equipped with easy installation features including four corner correction, vertical lens shift, warping capabilities, and horizontal and vertical keystone correction. This product is WiSA HT certified to deliver wireless audio and work seamlessly with other WiSA-certified products, right out of the box.
With the Creative Cast app, users can screen mirror content from a smartphone, tablet, or laptop directly to the UHZ55 for easy viewing.
Finally, the UHZ55 comes with the Optoma Marketplace onboard, offering popular media streaming apps and voice command control via Alexa. The UHZ55 also supports Google Home which enables control of the projector using voice commands or via the Google Home app for Android and iOS.
