Next week at InfoComm, BenQ will be showing new projectors in their Blue Core Laser and SmartEco projector series.
The Blue Core XGA resolution LX60ST and WXGA resolution LW61ST laser projectors are 2,000 lumens, have an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, and 0.6/0.49 short-throw projection. The units feature two 10W built-in speakers and microphone input, less than 0.5W standby power, a wireless display feature for iPhone®/iPad®, LAN display, USB display, and 360-degree tilted projection. Like their sister series, the Blue Core laser projectors offer SmartEco Advanced technology.
The latest additions to BenQ’s SmartEco™ Projector Series include the MX816ST, MW712, MX716, and MS502. Featuring SmartEco technology, these projectors can reduce power consumption by up to 70 percent.
Recent projector market research by analyst firm Pacific Media Associates shows that sales of laser and Laser/LED hybrid projectors are on the rise. This reinforces feedback from end-users in a recent PMA survey which found that “green” factors where very important when considering a new projector purchase.
