LG Electronics recently launched the LG ProBeam series of business projectors and announced the first ProBeam model – the LG BU50NST. LG’s first ProBeam projector is equipped with 4K UHD resolution and offers 5,000 lumens of brightness. I boasts a maximum screen size of 300-inches diagonal and contrast ratio of 3,000,000: 1. It also features HDR10 and a DLP laser light source that can last up to 20,000 hours.
There are various screen customization functions to optimize the image for the confines of the meeting space. The BU50NST has a 12 point keystone correction compared to earlier projectors with four corner keystone correction. It also has a 1.6 x Zoom function, as well as horizontal and vertical lens shift capabilities.
LG’s ProBeam is equipped with a web browser and wireless network compatible. It comes with Office Viewer and Video Viewer included, to conveniently view documents and videos via USB. The LG ProBeam has screen share and screen mirroring functions, and an Android operating system. The BU50NST is quiet at 29 dB and has a compact footprint for easy installation.
Display market experts PMA Research track sell-through sales of projectors on a monthly basis. Their most recently published Distributor Tracking Service report showed that sales among +5000 lumen models through the Distribution channel continued to outpace the overall market.
