Optoma recently launched the UHD35STx short throw Gaming and Home Theater Projector. It’s a true 4K projector with 8.3 million distinct addressable on-screen pixels and offers 3,600 lumens of brightness. With short-throw capabilities, the UHD35STx can project an image of up to 300-inchs when placed just three feet away from the screen or wall. The UHD35STx features HDR10 and HLG for viewing HDR content. It also has an enhanced gaming mode with a response time of 16.9ms at 4K and 60Hz or a 4ms response time at 1080p and 240Hz .
The UHD35STx uses single-chip DLP system with XPR pixel-shifting technology to display true 4K UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) and has a 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a wall color setting feature to adjust images to compensate for different wall colors. It also has ISF modes which let you save calibrated settings for day and night viewing. Also standard is 4-corner geometric adjustment helps with off-center placement, as well as vertical and horizontal keystone correction.
Dual HDMI 2.0 inputs allow for connectivity to gaming consoles, Google Chromecast or Amazon Fire Stick, for access to streaming apps and games. Additional connectivity includes USB-A, stereo minijack audio out, and a RS232C port for external control from a computer or third-party controller. The UHD35STx has a built-in 10-watt speaker and is extremely quiet at just 24 dB.
