Hisense has announced a pair of laser projectors, the XR10 and PX4-PRO, which they will show at next month’s Consumer Electronics show. The flagship XR10 is designed with dedicated home theaters and media rooms in mind, while the PX4-Pro is meant to appeal to consumers who want a flexible home theater projector for movies and gaming.
Based on preliminary specs by Hisense, the XR10 will run on their LPU 3.0 Digital Laser Engine, using a pure RGB triple laser light source and will offer 6,000 lumens, as well as a fully upgraded chipset.
Featuring 16 all-glass lenses for better light transmittance and temperature stability, it minimizes light loss and prevents discoloration. A new IRIS system is designed to automatically adjust aperture and exposure in response to lighting conditions, making the projector suitable for use in environments with ambient light. With an optical zoom range of 0.84x to 2.0x, the XR10 can accommodate screens from 65 inches up to 300 inches.
In addition, the XR10 will also come with built-in, AI-driven auto-adjustments designed to create the ideal projected image when being placed in imperfect spaces. These adjustments permit lossless correction of side-projected images up to ±15°, while built-in lens-shift enhances placement flexibility.
The XR10 also offers an expanded BT.2020 color gamut and a speckle suppression rate as low as 6 percent. There’s even an industry-first liquid water cooling system built into the projector’s chassis, allowing the projector to run quietly and stay cool.
The PX4-PRO is an ultra-short throw (UST) laser projector that can project images up to 200 inches diagonally when placed just inches from a wall or screen. The PX4-PRO offers 3,500 lumens, a native contrast ratio of 6000:1 thanks to the new IRIS lens system, and 4K resolution The projector also comes with IMAX Enhanced certification and support for ultra-low latency gaming.
