Recently projector manufacturer Epson introduced its new EX-Series which is comprised of four multimedia models which offer high brightness and features geared towards flexible positioning and easy setup. The EX7220, EX6220, EX5220, and EX3220 projectors all have 3000 lumens of brightness, are 3-chip 3LCD technology, have keystone correction, USB Plug ‘n Play, and lens control with 1.2x digital zoom, allowing for a 60-inch image from a distance of just four feet.
Two models, the EX5220 and EX 7220 also offer wireless connectivity, and can utilize Epson’s iProjection application, so presenters can project to the EX5220 and EX7220 from most iOS Apple devices running iOS 4.2 or later and most Android devices running Android 2.3 or later.
The EX7220 and EX6220 are wide-screen models with WXGA resolution. The EX5220 is and XGA resolution model, and the EX3220 is SVGA. All models will begin shipping in September with MSRP’s ranging from $449 to $649.
Recent end-user surveys conducted by market analyst firm PMA Research show that wireless connectivity to mobile devices is a big plus for corporate projector users. End-users of projectors also insist on easy and flexible set-up options. These new units from Epson should be well received.
