Christie has announced several new projector series, which they will be launching at the NAB tradeshow in Las Vegas next week. First is the new Christie D Series 3LCD single-lamp digital projector series with brightness ranges of 6000-8000 lumens and a 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
Making its North American debut is the Christie Boxer 4K30, which promises unrivaled brightness for its size and weight. The Christie Boxer 4K30 is designed for rental staging use and large venue events. Weighing only 150 pounds, Christie Boxer is the lightest and smallest 30,000 lumen projector in its class.
Also being shown is the Christie H Series – a single-chip DLP® projector which can be installed in either portrait or landscape mode. Christie touts the projector as light and quiet, and it offers 12,000 lumens. The Christie H Series was developed with color reproduction in mind. It offers long life dual lamps, built-in warping and blending and advanced color correction.
PMA Research findings show that projectors for large-venue applications are doing very well in the market, and these high-end units continue to outperform the overall market in revenues.
