Targeted for fixed installations and event staging, the new Christie DHD1075-GS and DWU1075-GS projectors are rugged models built for extended, heavy use. They employ a more powerful grid-based warping and blending technology, combined with Christie’s BoldColor Technology, all in a more compact form-factor. They are lightweight for easy transportation and handling, which includes camera-based stacking. The GS series can be quickly aligned with other projectors.
These new models use laser-phosphor illumination to lower total cost of ownership. The standard six-segment color wheel offers maximum brightness. The DHD1075-GS and DWU1075-GS feature a host of ProAV features such as Dynamic Contrast, wireless connectivity, three lens choices, multiple input options and 360 degree projection.
Both new models offer 1920×1080 resolution and a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The DHD1075-GS is 10,000 lumens and the DWU1075-GS is 10,875 lumens. These new GS series projectors will be available Summer 2017.
Display analyst firm PMA Research tracks sales of projectors. This spring they noted that unit sales of laser/LED and laser/phosphor models has nearly doubled when compared to the same time period last year.
