Casio America has announced its new lineup of SLIM projectors . Weighing in at just five pounds, the new SLIM LampFree® projectors are 1.7 inches thick, making them the thinnest high-brightness projectors on the market.
The SLIM series of LampFree® projectors feature Casio’s proprietary LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source, which combines a laser, a fluorescent element, and LEDs to generate high brightness. Now in its 5th generation, the newest LASER & LED HYBRID Light Source models offer a 30 percent increase in light output over previous models. They also boast an estimated 20,000 hours lifespan with minimal brightness degradation.
The new models are Crestron Roomview™ capable, have Intelligent Brightness Control, wired LAN projection and MobiShow®, which enables users to make presentations wirelessly via any smartphone, computer or other mobile device equipped with wireless LAN capabilities . They also come standard with three types of video and audio inputs, as well as HDMI, RGB and RS-232C terminals, and are equipped with 2 GB of built-in memory.
The new SLIM lineup of projectors will be available this month with an MSRP starting at $969.99
Recent findings from PMA Research showed that in 2011, 65 percent of respondents felt hybrid or LED illumination was “very important” or an “absolute must.” In PMA’s 2013
survey, that figure jumped sharply to 92% for top-two-box scoring (absolute must
plus very important).
