BenQ America Corp recently announced that the HT6050 home theater projector has achieved THX® HD Display™ certification. The HT6050 is the first single-chip DLP projector to become THX certified. This certification involved 200 THX laboratory tests of more than 500 data points to ensure that the projector meets the certification’s Rec. 709 color accuracy, precise gamma, ideal color temperature, enhanced uniformity and super high native contrast ratio requirements. Originally developed by Lucasfilm engineers to distinguish only best-in-class audio and video systems, THX certification ensures that the device can precisely deliver content as the director originally intended. THX engineers also pre-calibrated the HT6050’s THX Mode.
In addition to the THX-certified picture quality performance provided by the projector’s strict Rec. 709 RGBRGB color wheel, the HT6050 boasts high pixel fill facto and a high ANSI contrast from DLP technology. The full HD 1080p projector also offers BenQ’s exclusive CinemaMaster™ advanced video processing suite for exact adjustments to gamma, color temperature, flesh tones and motion frame rates.
The HT6050 is compatible offers five optional interchangeable lenses, including 2.4:1 anamorphic aspect ratio lens. The HT6050 also comes standard with horizontal and vertical lens shift, as well as zoom capability.
Finally, the HT6050 is also ISFccc®-certified by the Imaging Science Foundation® (ISF®), providing two custom-calibrated modes, ISF Day and ISF Night for additional customization options. Along with MHL connectivity for streaming content from smart devices, the HT6050 also offers an optional full HD wireless kit.
The home theater projector is now available via BenQ Integrators’ Choice partners.
