BenQ America has announced its new P Series line of professional installation projectors. Designed for commercial applications in education, retail, and corporate environments, the new line of P Series projectors offer XGA and WXGA resolutions, up to 6,500 lumens of brightness, and flexible setup options such as switchable color wheels and optional lenses.
The PX9600 offers WXGA resolution and 6,500 lumens, while the PW9500 offers WXGA resolution and 5,700 lumens. Both models have a 2,800:1 contrast ration and employ BenQ’s Colorific™ technology. The P Series projectors also come with HQV image processing – technology which allows the devices to scale outputs, enabling the projectors to cast full resolutions that enhance both image details and overall picture quality. The feature also reduces the mosquito effect and blocks the random noise often associated with compressed digital videos formats.
The units ship with both four-segment and six-segment color wheels as well as seven interchangeable lenses ranging from 3.4M short-throw lens to a long zoom 16.41 – 24.71M lens. The P Series also has motorized horizontal and vertical lens shift, a powered 1.6 zoom ratio and 360-degree projection capabilities. Connectivity includes LAN control, the PX9600 and PW9500 enable control and PJLink compatibility, along with DVI and 5BNC connectivity points.
Available now, BenQ’s PX9600 and PW9500 P Series projectors each retail for $3,999.
Recent findings from PMA Research show that large-venue and installation projectors continue to be best-sellers in the projector market.
