Recently, BenQ announced their latest projector designed with gaming and home entertainment enthusiasts in mind. The TH585 DLP projector aims to create a fully immersive entertainment experience, with both audio and video enhancements geared towards gamers.
For immersive sound, BenQ’s new home entertainment projector includes built-in 10W speakers. Also included on the TH585 is their exclusive Game Mode, which improves on screen video by fine-tuning all images while enhancing darker scenes for greater visual clarity. For seamless play, the TH585 offers 16ms response time to ensure movements on the screen happen instantaneously with the gaming controls. The TH858 offers a wide range of connectivity options including multiple HDMI connections, RS232 control capabilities, Audio In/Out and an IR Receiver. The TH585 also has 3D capabilities, a 1.1x zoom lens, a digital vertical lens shift for flexible installation capabilities, auto vertical keystone correction, and a USB Type A power supply.
In addition to these gaming features, the TH585 projector offers 3,500-lumen brightness and 1080p resolution. The projector also focuses on color performance with its new 6-segment RGBWYC color wheel that achieves 95% Rec. 709 color space. In addition, the TH585 offers an eco-friendly Lamp Save Mode to yield a 15,000 hour lamp life.
The BenQ TH585 projector is available now with an MSRP of $599.
Display market analyst firm PMA Research follows the projector market. Their most recent Census market-sizing report for 2019Q3 showed an 8% uptick in the sales of 1080p Consumer projectors over the same quarter last year.
