Geared towards the gaming community, BenQ‘s new 4K HDR gaming projector, the X3000i, is the world’s first gaming projector to use a 4LED light source. The 4LED light source has a 30,000-hour lifespan (in eco-mode), and a new color calibration system which offers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The X3000i features 4K UHD, 3000 ANSI lumens brightness, and a 500,000:1 contrast ratio. This new projector incorporates Dynamic Black algorithms, is 3D compatible, and offers HDR with HDR10 / HLG support. There are multiple HDMI connections, as well as a USB Type-A1 connector. The X3000i has setup flexibility via a 1.3x zoom, 2D keystone correction, and advanced AV connectivity – including a pair of HDMI 2.0b connectors making it compatible with most popular gaming consoles.
What makes this an ideal projector for gaming is the variable lag-free control — (Fast Mode),16 ms (4K@60Hz),4 ms (1080p@240Hz),8 ms (1080p@120Hz) — which allows players to choose their desired response rate depending on the game being played. In addition, three dedicated game modes are preset to optimize the gaming experience. Full Cinematic Immersion is achieved with the RPG Mode, while FPS Mode enhances visual details. Finally, SPG Mode is ideal for sports viewing.
The X3000i also features onboard audio with two 5W stereo speakers. The audio system has been tuned by BenQ’s treVolo audio team and enhanced by Bongiovo DSP with Dynamic Stereo Enhancement. Audio can also be output to an external sound system via HDMI eARC for a cinematic experience.
The BenQ X3000i is available for pre-order now with an expected ship date in March 2022.
