Acer recently announced additions to four of their projector lines with a new upgraded home entertainment model, as well as several high-performance projectors designed for corporate and large-venue use. New models incorporate a wide range of features, including LED and Laser illumination, wireless connectivity, ultra-short-throw capabilities and high-brightness.
Acer’s VD series LED projectors are geared towards home entertainment. The VD6510i is a wireless 3,000 lumen, 1080p projector that delivers 120Hz frame rate refresh for movie viewing. The VD series projectors offer 125% coverage of the Rec. 709 color gamut and enhanced 16x sequential display speed to minimize the rainbow effect. 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness enables the projector to produce clear images even with ambient light. LED projectors offer an extended rightness lifespan, so users can enjoy their favorite movies for years to come. LED projectors like the VD6510i are also an eco-friendly choice due to their mercury-free nature.
Acer’s PD series LED projectors are geared towards corporate applications. With 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness, the PD1530i is a professional projector that was designed with meetings in mind. The cable free, wireless 1080p LED projector is capable of producing a 100-inch screen from a distance of less than 10 feet away from the screen in meeting and training rooms. LED projectors have instant on/off capabilities making them a good choice for a meeting environment. Acer’s new PD1530i projector also offers a low total cost of ownership with a 30,000 hour lifespan.
The eco-friendly Acer XL series projectors (XL1220, XL1320W and XL1520) use only 143 watts of power. Acer says this makes them some of the most energy-efficient 3,100 lumens laser projectors available. The XL series of projectors offer 1080p resolution and are priced with budget-conscious companies in mind. An IP6X certification means that XL-series projectors have sealed engines , offering a high level of protection against dust or other solid particles that may damage the device. Portrait and 360-degree projection modes are also available, enabling the XL series projectors to accommodate a wide array of meeting room scenarios.
The Acer UL5630 is an ultra-short throw projector capable of producing an 120-inch image from a just 12-inches from the screen. The UL5630 is equipped with an enhanced image laser diode, offers WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution, and 4,500 lumens of brightness. Features like 360 degree projection ,portrait mode and remote management capabilities make the UL series particularly well suited for lecture halls, as well as larger conference rooms and meeting venues.
Finally, the PL series of high brightness 6,000 ANSI Lumens laser projectors (PL7610, PL7610T, PL7510) are low-maintenance devices with a 30,000 hour lifespan making them ideal for house of worship, museums and other larger-venue applications.
