Acer recently announced the H6800BDa projector to their lineup. It is a 4K Smart projector with 3,600 ANSI lumens brightness and comes pre-loaded with an “app market”. The H6800BDa features HDR10 and a 240 Hz refresh rate in 1080p. It boasts low input lag making it well suited for console gaming.
This Smart projector app market enables users to access built-in support for a variety of streaming services, social media websites, and more. These services can be used without any additional devices by simply connecting the projector to Wi-Fi to access these options. The Acer H6800BDa delivers 3,600 ANSI lumens of brightness and 4K UHD (3840×2160) resolution. HDR10 compatibility allows the projector to leverage four dimming modes to accommodate any lighting scenario in the users home. In addition, Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) Certified Calibration Controls allow the projector to be configured for the best image possible in any environment.
Sports fans will appreciate Football Mode, a specific preset designed to replicate in-stadium experiences. This is achieved by boosting the projector’s brightness, saturation, sharpness and gamma in order to bring out greens and skin tones. Additionally, gamers can take advantage of the responsive control offered by 240 Hz refresh rate at 1080p and a low 5 millisecond input lag time.
A built in 10W speaker provides onboard sound, eliminating the need for external speakers. The short-throw capability allows for an 80-inch image from just 2.7 meters (8.86 feet) away. The lamp is rated with a 15,000 hour lifespan. In addition, users can wirelessly project from a computer or mobile device.
The projector has vertical keystone correction technology to automatically adjust itself to a user’s screen or viewing area. The H6800BDa also supports 24/7 continuous projection, making it suitable for sports bars or restaurants.
The Acer H6800BDa projector will be available in China in June, starting at RMB 7,999 and in EMEA in August, starting at EUR 1,099.
