Tatsuta Wire and Cable, headquartered in Osaka, Japan, announced a new laser light source module for use in MEMS based optical engines. The company demonstrated a prototype pico projector that produces 10 lumens at SVGA (800×600) resolution. The light source module incorporates Tatsuta’s proprietary optical fiber light combiner technology to generate white light from individual red, green and blue lasers.
In addition to complete projectors and embedded devices, PMA’s projector market research covers optical engines, imagers, light sources and other components used in the design and production of these products.
