Portronics, a projector maker located in India, has introduced the HD POR 316 pico projector, also known as Androview. The new projector features a full Android operating system powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 Rockchip RK2918 processor and uses an LCOS imager and RGB LEDs to produce 50 lumens at WSVGA (1,024×600) resolution with a 500:1 contrast ratio. A built-in 1,450 mAh rechargeable battery provides up to 90 minutes of run time. Connectivity includes WiFi, miniUSB, HDMI and Composite Video. The Android media player can display images, video and office documents from the 8GB of internal memory, a USB memory stick or SD card. The HD POR 316 is currently available in India for a suggested retail price of US$530.
